PRESIDENT

Ronald Perlman

Mr. Perlman graduated from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law in 1980. He subsequently practiced law with the firm of Cox, Castle and Nicholson in Newport Beach and Los Angeles as a real estate attorney. In 1985, Mr. Perlman left the practice of law and began developing real estate with Barclay Associates, Inc. Mr. Perlman is the founder and President of Monro Capital, Inc., as well as a licensed Real Estate Broker in California. Mr. Perlman has served on community service and public boards, including his tenure as a director of First National Bank, which until the bank was sold, was San Diego’s largest local bank.

Adolfo Gonzalez Rubio

Mr. Gonzalez Rubio serves as an advisor to investment partnerships affiliated with Monro Capital. He is a Partner, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer at Investment Placement Group (IPG). IPG is an investment advisor and broker dealer firm. Mr. Gonzalez Rubio has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. He joined the company in 1990 working in Sales and Trading. He was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2000 and was elected to his current position in 2009. Mr. Gonzalez Rubio received a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO). In 2017, he completed the Harvard Business School Executive Leadership Program in Owner/President Management (OPM).

Karlo Teran

Mr. Teran joined Monro Capital in January of 2020 and oversees the day-to-day operations, investor relations/management, and acquisitions. Mr. Teran obtained his Bachelors Degree in Finance from ITESM (Tec de Monterrey) in Monterrey, Mexico. Subsequently, he worked at Bain & Co. in their Dallas, Los Angeles and Mexico City offices. After, he joined The KOR Group, a Real Estate Developer in Los Angeles that specialized in Apartments & Hotels. Mr. Teran obtained his MBA at Northwestern Kellogg School of Management in 2009, where he also held an internship at CalPERS. After, Mr. Teran joined Investment Placement Group (IPG) for a short time, and then spent 7 years as a Director of Discovery Americas, a leading Private Equity firm in Mexico. Mr. Teran is currently a Co-Chair of The Kellogg Alumni Club of San Diego.

Isaac Lilien

Isaac Lilien joined Monro Capital, Inc. in February 2017 to assist with acquisitions and asset management.  Since joining the company, Isaac worked closely on the acquisition of Mission Corporate Center and Mission Square Shopping Center, has managed tenant improvement projects at multiple properties, and overseen leasing for new tenants and renewing current tenants.  Prior to joining the company, Isaac worked for an economic development consulting firm and a social media startup company both located in San Diego.  Isaac graduated cum laude from UC San Diego with a B.A. in Economics and minors in Philosophy and Business from the Rady School of Management.

Mitchell Perlman

Mitchell Perlman is a graduate of the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business, where he studied finance and accounting. Following his education, Mr. Perlman became a derivatives trader in Chicago, working at Consolidated Trading.  While at Consolidated, Mr. Perlman managed several portfolios and lead the VIX Team electronic trading division. Mr. Perlman is the Vice President of Monro Capital, Inc.  Mr. Perlman joined Monro Capital, Inc. in 2013 and he is a licensed Real Estate Salesperson in California.

Nick Griffin

Nick joined Monro Capital in January 2021 as an analyst and has grown to have a hand in many departments at the company. In reporting to the Director of Assets, he is heavily involved in the day-to-day of Acquisitions and Asset Management. Some of his oversights include Investor Relations, Partnership Finance Strategy, and managing the internship program at Monro Capital. Prior to joining the firm, Nick worked in video operations for multiple NBA and WNBA organizations within the respective coaching staffs. He graduated from UCLA with a bachelor’s degree in Economics.

Robin Hathaway

Robin Hathaway joined Monro Capital in March 2020 as a Commercial Property Manager. She is an accomplished Manager offering 8 years of professional experience, including office, retail, industrial, and medical office buildings. Prior to joining Monro Capital, she managed 500,000 square feet of office space in the Bay Area. Robin obtained her Real Estate License in 2017 and is currently working towards her Certified Property Manager (CPM®). She is a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM®). Robin attended San Diego Mesa Community College and SDSU for business and management training.

Assistant Property Manager

Alex Rivera

Alex Rivera serves as Assistant Property Manager overseeing the portfolio’s current eight commercial, industrial and retail properties. Joining the Monro Capital team in 2020, she oversees tenants’ needs, vendor integration, company operations, and financial activities. Graduating from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Marketing in 2015, Alex began her career as a Leasing Agent and Community Assistant in the Student Housing field. She then furthered her experience as a Business and Marketing Coordinator at an Engineering, Planning, and Land Development firm in Central Florida. Alex is currently working towards her Real Estate License and is a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM®)
